Thanks to the generosity of its supporters, the Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Foundation raised $291,679 from 256 donors during East Texas Giving Day on Tuesday, April 28.

NTCC finished second overall among participating nonprofits for the day, while leading all organizations in total number of donors—setting a new record for donor participation in the college’s East Texas Giving Day history.

Nita May, NTCC Director of Development and event organizer, said the strong showing reflects the broad support the college continues to receive from its community.

“We are incredibly grateful for the 256 donors who chose to support NTCC this year,” May said. “Setting a new record for donor participation is especially meaningful because it shows how many people believe in our students and our mission.”

East Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online fundraising event hosted by the East Texas Communities Foundation, serving a 32-county region and generating millions of dollars each year for local nonprofits.

Funds raised for the NTCC Foundation will directly benefit students through scholarships, campus programs and special projects that enhance the college experience.

“We are thankful to the East Texas Communities Foundation for hosting this impactful event,” May said. “It continues to bring communities together to support causes that truly make a difference.”

For those who missed East Texas Giving Day but would still like to contribute, NTCC is currently conducting a $40 for 40 Years Campaign to commemorate the college’s 40th anniversary of serving the community. Anyone who gives at least $40 will have their name included on a permanent plaque on campus. Click here to participate in the campaign today!
