The NTCC men’s soccer team wrapped up its 2026 season Thursday night with a postseason appearance in the Region XIV Tournament.
The No. 3 seed Eagles traveled to Brenham Thursday to face No. 2 seed Blinn College at Rankin Field, falling 2-0 to bring their season to a close.
While the Eagles’ postseason run ended sooner than they hoped, earning a spot in the tournament marked an encouraging finish to a season that saw the team continue to improve and compete down the stretch. NTCC earned points in three of its final five regular-season games, including a key Sophomore Day matchup against Jacksonville College with tournament seeding on the line.
The postseason berth was an important step forward for the Eagles, who entered the season with a young roster and continued to develop throughout the year.
NTCC finishes the season as the No. 3 team in Region XIV, giving the Eagles plenty to build on heading into 2027.
“The young men worked hard and grew tremendously together as a unit, both on and off the field,” NTCC coach Jon Evan said. “I’m proud of what they accomplished this season, and I’m excited about the direction of this program.”
