The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $50,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. Pictured (from left) is Jimmy Smith, NTCC Dean of Workforce; Aaron Shelby, Co-President, Carroll Shelby Foundation; and Austin Maness, Director of the Carroll Shelby Automotive Institute. The funds provided scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year for students in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Institute. The Shelby Foundation has been a major supporter of the program since Carroll Shelby himself took an interest in providing opportunities for students in Northeast Texas.
