NTCC's Active Minds student organization invites all students, faculty and staff to its kickoff celebration Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 12:30–1:30 p.m. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the college's new Rock Garden/Sensory Area, along with interactive activities, free Chick-fil-A, drinks and giveaways.
Active Minds is a student organization dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being and encouraging open conversations about mental health.
“We want to create a campus environment where everyone feels supported and knows that their mental health matters,” said Cindy Stansell, NTCC Director of Mental Health Services. “This celebration is a great opportunity to come together, connect with one another and introduce a new space designed to promote relaxation and well-being.”
