Softball sweeps Hill College

Peyton Holland drove in four runs on two hits to lead NTCC Softball 2025 past Hill College Rebels 12-0 on Monday. Holland hit a home run to center field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the second inning, scoring one.

NTCC Softball 2025 got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kyndal Yaross was struck by a pitch, and Hope Grant hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

NTCC Softball 2025 added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Preslielyn Barraza tripled to center field, Megan Allen singled to center field, Holland doubled down the left field line, and Mya Bradshaw hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

NTCC Softball 2025 added six more runs in the bottom of the third inning on six hits. Shae Stone homered to center field, scoring two runs, Holland homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Taylor Gouge singled, scoring one run.

Casey Jones stepped in the circle first for NTCC Softball 2025. The southpaw allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Gracie stepped in the circle first for hill college.

Gracie stepped in the circle first for Hill College Rebels. The hurler surrendered 10 hits and 10 runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four. Conlee Zachry threw two innings of scoreless ball for NTCC Softball 2025 in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out five and walking two.

NTCC Softball 2025 accumulated 11 hits in the game. Allen, Barraza, and Holland each collected two hits for NTCC Softball 2025. Bradshaw paced NTCC Softball 2025 with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting four walks for the game. NTCC Softball 2025 stole seven bases in the game. NTCC Softball 2025 turned one double play in the game.

Hill College Rebels had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Hill College Rebels were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kayla had the most chances. Eagles win 12-0 in 5 game 1 - no hitter combined Casey jones and Conlee Zachary.

Game 2 

Hill College Rebels opened the scoring in the first after Kayla singled, scoring one run. NTCC Softball 2025 took the lead in the bottom of the first. Paislee Clark doubled, scoring two runs, to give NTCC Softball 2025 the upper hand, 2-1.

Hill College Rebels took the lead in the top of the second inning after NTCC Softball 2025 committed an error, Rebekah grounded out, and Mia grounded out, each scoring one run.
NTCC Softball 2025 tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a ground out by Taylor Gouge, and a double by Megan Allen.

In the bottom of the third, NTCC Softball 2025 broke up the tie when an error scored one run. Then a ground out by Preslielyn Barraza followed to extend the lead to 6-4.

In the bottom of the fourth, NTCC Softball 2025 broke up the tie when Fincannon doubled, scoring one run. Then a home run to left field by Sawyer Strange followed to extend the lead. 

Peyton Holland stepped in the circle first for NTCC. The hurler surrendered two hits and four runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking three. Kaydee Mantell opened the game for Hill College Rebels. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and nine runs (eight earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking eight. Natalie Morrison threw one inning of zero-run ball for NTCC Softball 2025 in relief. The reliever allowed one hit, striking out none and walking one.

Allen, Clark, Strange, Finncannon, Gouge, and Conlee Zachry each collected one hit for NTCC Softball 2025. Clark and Strange each drove in two runs for NTCC Softball 2025. Holland paced NTCC Softball 2025 with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Allen, Holland, and Zachry each stole multiple bases for NTCC Softball 2025. NTCC ran wild on the base paths, piling up nine stolen bases for the game.
