Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) proudly celebrated the grand opening of its newest campus facility, the Eagles Nest pavilion, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 1, 2025. The event welcomed a large crowd of students, faculty, staff, board members and community members who gathered to mark this exciting milestone for the college.
The Eagles Nest is a comfortable outdoor space designed to foster community, support, and student success by serving as a dynamic hub for student engagement. It features ample seating, a large turf area and outdoor games.
In addition to officially opening the new space, NTCC also unveiled its special 40th Anniversary logo and slogan during the ceremony. The commemorative slogan, “Celebrating the Past, Empowering the Future!”, reflects the college’s continued dedication to honoring its history while investing in student potential.
Guests enjoyed refreshments from Quick Sip Drinks, who were on-site serving their signature “dirty” sodas. The celebration continued into the evening with the first official student event held in the Eagles Nest—a Honky Tonk-themed party hosted by NTCC Student Activities.
NTCC is excited to see the Eagles Nest become a vibrant centerpiece for campus life and student involvement in the years to come. The project was completed by Stansell Construction of Mount Pleasant.
