Northeast Texas Community College and the Northeast Texas Career Alliance (NTCA) are proud to announce that NTCA students were presented with their MSSC Certified Production Technician Safety Certification on Monday, December 8, 2025! This Safety certification is one of four key assessments students complete as part of the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Production Technician (CPT) pathway — including Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness.
The MSSC CPT credentials are nationally recognized, industry-aligned certifications that help students demonstrate mastery of essential skills that employers value in manufacturing and production environments. These credentials are also included on the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Industry-Based Certification (IBC) list, supporting both student achievement and workforce readiness.
Students from Chapel Hill High School, Paul Pewitt High School, and Hughes Springs High School who are participating in the NTCA pathways have worked hard throughout the semester to reach this milestone, and the Industrial Technology Training Center (ITTC) is excited about their progress and proud of their accomplishments. Their success reflects dedication, focus, and the real-world skills NTCA is designed to build.
The NTCA pilot program — a collaborative effort between local school districts, NTCC, Region 8 Education Service Center, and Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas — offers students access to high-demand career pathways blending classroom instruction, hands-on training, and industry engagement. Students in NTCA can earn valuable credentials like MSSC safety certification and more, helping them prepare for careers or further education after high school.
