Northeast Texas Community College is currently accepting applications for its Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and Medical Assistant (MA) programs for Fall 2025. Both programs offer hands-on training and strong job prospects in the growing healthcare field.
Graduates of the Medical Assistant program are prepared to work in clinics, physician offices, and outpatient care centers, where they assist with both administrative and clinical duties. It’s an ideal option for those who enjoy helping others and want to enter the workforce quickly.
The Medical Lab Tech program trains students to analyze lab samples and play a critical role in patient diagnosis and treatment. MLTs work behind the scenes in hospitals, diagnostic labs, and research facilities to ensure accurate medical testing.
“These careers are in high demand and offer a clear path to stable, meaningful employment,” said Taylor Ketelboeter, MLA/MA Administrative Assistant and Advisor, said. “Our programs combine real-world experience with personalized instruction to help students succeed.”
Classes begin August 25. Space is limited, so interested students are encouraged to apply soon.
