Northeast Texas Community College’s Eagles Softball program was represented on the national stage recently! Head Softball Coach, Haley Colwell, traveled to the ABCA baseball convention in Washington DC January 1-6 to serve as a panelist expert in strength and conditioning. She also attended the AHSFCA conference in Little Rock, AR January 10-12, where she was a headline speaker.
“I enjoy participating in these types of events and representing NTCC beyond the field. My focus is on how to be resourceful with minimal resources. Specifically, I target high school and college programs,” Colwell said.
At the AHSFCA conference, she spoke to an audience largely filled with high school coaches about her own career path and how she worked her way through the collegiate ranks.
Colwell has been head coach of the Eagles Softball program since 2023. Prior to that, she served as head coach at West Plains High School in Amarillo. NTCC Softball will kick off its Spring season on January 31st at Weatherford and their first home game will be on February 3rd versus Hill College.
