Students in the Correctional Systems and Practices course at Northeast Texas Community College recently toured the Titus County Jail on December 2. During the visit, participants observed administrative operations, learned about security procedures, and had the opportunity to ask questions directly to facility staff.

Elizabeth Bailey, NTCC Criminal Justice Faculty, said the experience offered students an invaluable look at the realities of working in the field. “Opportunities like this give our students a deeper understanding of how correctional facilities operate day-to-day,” Bailey said. “We are grateful to Titus County Jail for opening their doors and supporting our students’ learning.”

The NTCC Criminal Justice program extends its appreciation to the Titus County Jail for providing this meaningful experience and for its continued partnership.
