The Northeast Texas Community College Vocational Nursing (VN) program recently learned that 100% of its graduates from August 2024 passed their NCLEX-PN examinations. This marks the fourth year in a row that the VN program has had a 100% pass rate.

“This is a true testament to the dedication and hard work of our instructors and the excellence of our students. I’m incredibly proud of this accomplishment, and I look forward to seeing how we can continue to grow and strengthen our program,” Dr. Charla Denman, NTCC Director of Nursing Programs, said.

The NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination) is a required test for practical/vocational nurses to pass in order to become a nurse in the United States. The purpose of the exam is to ensure that those who pass the NCLEX-PN are nurses capable of performing safe, entry-level nursing care. The pass rate for all Texas VN candidates is 87.38% and the national average for VN candidates 86.68%, which puts NTCC far above the average!
