Northeast Texas Community College will soon begin the search for its sixth president. Board Chairman Chuck Johns announced at the December meeting of the Board of Trustees that the search will be conducted in-house by the NTCC Human Resources department. The role will be posted, and applications accepted beginning January 6, 2025.
“Dr. Ron Clinton announced earlier this year that he plans to retire next spring and the board of trustees assigned a subcommittee to discuss how the presidential search will be handled. After reviewing proposals from search firms, the board ultimately decided that the college will conduct the hiring process internally,” Amy Adkins, NTCC Executive Director of Human Resources, said.
While a search firm will not be engaged, the position will be advertised nationally.
“We feel confident that we can get the word out and that we will attract a strong pool of applicants for this important role,” Adkins said.
