Abbie Rutledge and Dillon Williams joined Coach Jon Evan's staff at NTCC in August of 2024.
Rutledge came to Mount Pleasant after serving as a student assistant at her Alma Mater LSUS in the spring of 2024 as well as a club role coaching with CABOSA. Rutledge will serve as assistant to both the men's and women's programs and will play a significant role in strength and conditioning and will be involved in all aspects of both teams.
In 2019 Rutledge lead her East Central, MS (NJCAA) squad to an MACC postseason appearance out of her midfield role. In 2020 she once again lead EC to the conference finals and was named to the All- Star Selections team. The 2020 EC squad was ranked as high as #12 of the nation. In 2021 an LSUS she started every game in midfield for a young pilots squad.
Coach Rutledge followed up a strong performance being named captain her junior year as well as making NAIA champion of character All-Conference team in 2022. Rutledge finished her career with 4 goals 5 assists her senior season and paced the pilots on the way to a postseason appearance. She was also nominated at the pilot awards for 'breakthrough female athlete of the year'.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Rutledge played in the U.S Soccer professional development system with Rochester FC, Minnesota in the USL-W league of the Heartland division.
Rutledge has earned a bachelor's in Kinesiology / Exercise Science from LSUS. She will pursue her MS through the NTCC partnership with Texas A & M Texarkana. She is a member of the United Soccer Coaches Association.
A native of Sheffield, England, Rutledge splits her time between Shreveport, LA and Mount Pleasant, TX.
Coach Williams came to Mount Pleasant after serving as a graduate assistant to Don Koontz at Texas A & M Texarkana as well as a club role coaching with FC Dallas East Texas. Williams will serve as assistant to both the men's and women's programs and will play a significant role in strength and conditioning and goalkeeper development.
Williams was a standout student athlete and midfield leader of 3 of Koontz' TAMUT teams. In 2021 Williams and the Eagles marched to the program's first postseason appearance. Williams posted 1 goal and 3 assists out of midfield in the campaign. Williams finished his career with 3 goals and 3 assists leading the team once again to the postseason in his senior year.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Williams played in the U.S Soccer professional development system with USL2 Blue Goose of Shreveport, LA.
Williams has earned a bachelor's in Kinesiology / Exercise Science from Texarkana and is currently pursuing his MS in interdisciplinary studies from TAMUT. He is a member of the United Soccer Coaches Association.
A native of Texarkana, Williams splits his time between Texarkana and Mount Pleasant.
