Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that there is a new course available in the Natural Sciences. Environmental Science I (ENVR 1401) is a survey of the forces, including humans, that shape our physical and biologic environment, and how they affect life on Earth. Introduction to the science and policy of global and regional environmental issues, including pollution, climate change, and sustainability of land, water, and energy resources. Lab activities will cover methods used to collect and analyze environmental data.
The four semester credit hour course counts towards the science requirement of numerous degree programs. It will be offered during the Spring 2025 semester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:50 a.m. with a lab on Wednesdays from 1:30-4:20 p.m. It will be taught by Dr. Chris T. McAllister (office UHS 163, cmcallister@ntcc.edu). Please contact Dr. McAllister directly if you have questions about the class.
