Dr. Jackie Johnston – Professor of Mathematics

Jackie is a proud NTCC alumna with an inspiring journey. After an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force, she and her husband, Bill, relocated to East Texas. Where she attended NTCC as an adult first generation college student and discovered a passion for learning and teaching, thanks to the dedicated professors.

She has an AS degree from NTCC and two BS degrees in Nursing and Mathematics from UT Tyler. She earned an MS degree in Supervision, Curriculum, and Instruction with a minor in Mathematics, as well as an Ed.D. from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Jackie credits her success to the caring professors at NTCC who instilled confidence and determination in her. Her time at NTCC was pivotal in building the foundation for her achievements and why she has returned to teach for us.

As if Jackie hasn’t accomplished enough in life, she is a proud mother of three successful children. She treasures her large family and enjoys the simplicity of country life, caring for chickens, cows, and their beloved dogs.
