The NTCC Agriculture Department is excited to hold their end of harvest farmer’s markets on Tuesday, July 30th and Thursday, August 1st!

“These markets are meant to showcase the hard work of our Work4College students, to market the goods that they have worked hard to produce and celebrate a great end of summer” stated director Rene’ McCracken.

The markets will be held inside the Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Ag Complex and under the Ag pavilion from 11 am to 5:30 pm each day.  Tuesday’s market meal will feature Pilgrim’s smoked chicken, sautéed squash, baked beans, chips and tea.  Thursday’s market meal will be Chicken Spaghetti Salad, garlic bread and tea. Also at each market we will offer Pittsburg Hot Links until their gone! Meals can be dine in or take out.

If you are a local gardener or homesteader and have homegrown or homemade items for sale, you are welcome to join our market!  Relax in the AC and enjoy our facility and promote your farm enterprise!  This will be a perfect opportunity to drop in and visit with our livestock friends or check out the gardens as students will be leading farm tours.  Fall 2024 is scheduled to begin August, 26th and we are thrilled to be offering our newly revamped, “Regenerative Agriculture” certificates and associates degree.  Newly created courses: Garden Center Management, Horticulture Equipment Management and Greenhouse Management are available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and will have you completing the micro-credential Plant Production Management by December!
