The NTCC Rodeo team will be hosting the third NIRA Southern Region Rodeo of the season on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st. Each night at 7:30pm we will have a calf dressing and costume contest. No cost to enter and each three-man team will compete for gift cards and a NTCC Rodeo Apparel for the Calf Dressing and Costume Contest.

We would like to fill out the teams 8-10 each night with members of different NTCC Organizations/Sports Teams.

NTCC Rodeo will provide the boxers for each team to attempt to place on a calf in the arena. Each team will consist of three members to complete the task.  Teams will be at one end of the arena, calves will be released at the other end with a halter and lead rope. Once the calf is caught the team puts the boxers on the calf and then must get the calf across the finish line. The first team to complete the task will win.

Also, Friday night teams are encouraged to dress in costume and the best costumes will also will prizes awarded, so you have two chances to win.

Teams will need to arrive at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Arena by 6:30pm to check in for the event each night. The contest will happen at approximately 7:30pm during the nightly performance.

For more information, or sign up by Wednesday, October 18th at 5:00pm please contact Assistant AD Justin Hargrove at jhargrove@ntcc.edu or at 903-434-8285.
