The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular December meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 13th.
The first item on the agenda was the presentation of the annual independent audit by the firm of Axley and Rode. Molly Abele gave the report, which included an unmodified opinion for both the college and the NTCC Foundation. She stated that the audit did not uncover any deficiencies or issues of concern. The college increased its net position by $387,319 from the previous fiscal year.
In action items, the board approved a $975,000 bid from Stansell Construction to renovate the former Physical Fitness Annex building into an expanded simulation lab to support health science programs. The project will be funded through federal Title V, Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF), and institutional funds.
“We are very excited about moving forward with the simulation lab project. This new facility will give our students increased opportunities to learn with cutting-edge technology and will benefit our health science programs well into the future,” Dr. Ron Clinton, NTCC President, said.
There was no call for an executive session and the meeting was adjourned.
