Eagles Baseball beats Weatherford College 11-9

The†Northeast Texas Community College Eagles†baseball team beat Weatherford College 11-9 Wednesday in an away game. The Eagles managed through an early push by Weatherford in the first inning where NTCC coughed up six runs, but came back to win 11-9.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game.†NTCC†collected 15 hits and Weatherford College had eight. Weatherford College took an early lead in the first inning when†Ramirez†doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.†NTCC†evened things up at seven in the top of the fourth inning when†Taylor Barber's sac fly scored one run for the Eagles.

After†NTCC†scored one run in the top of the second, Weatherford College answered with one of their own. NTCC scored when†Kyle Moos†doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Weatherford College then answered when†Brody Curry's wild pitch allowed one run to score.

The†Eagles took the lead for good with one run in the fifth inning on†Hunter Thomas? solo homer.†Max Martinez†pitched the win for†NTCC.

The†Eagles hit two home runs on the day. After†Thomas†went yard in the fifth inning,†Barber†had a dinger in the sixth inning.
