NTCC invites community to Campus Dedication event

The community is invited to join Northeast Texas Community College for a Campus Dedication event as it celebrates the completion of a major renovation project. The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 26 on the main campus plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with remarks at 12:15 p.m. Lunch will be provided and guests are encouraged to explore the campus and check out the many changes implemented over the past two years.

Voters approved the funds for the project in 2015 and work began in 2016.

Construction Update February 23

The latest on the construction project

? The Student Services building is officially open again. All of student services and the business office have moved into the newly-renovated space.

?†The Testing Center will move to its new space in the Student Services building soon. Testing will be closed March 2 for the move, but will reopen March 3 in the new location.

? Continuing Education will be open in their new location in the Student Services building beginning Friday, March 3.

November 3 Construction Update

The latest on the construction project

? The entrance to UHS next to the A&M-Texarkana office will be closed the rest of this week while they pour a new sidewalk from the parking lot.

? Roof work has begun on the IT building. Materials for this project are being stored in the West Housing parking lot behind the Whatley Center. Please use caution in that area

during this phase of the project.

Construction update for Sept. 22


As you can see from the physical transformation on the plaza, the campus renovation is moving along nicely. Here is the latest:



? The Humanities Building is now fully operational and the offices are occupied.


? The new sidewalks between the Whatley Center and IT/BT buildings are open. Work will continue on landscaping that side of campus.




? Work will soon begin on the Student Services building.



August 4 construction update

? There is currently no interior pathway to walk from the east side of campus to the west side. There is access to the Testing Center (BT) and Student Success (SUB) from the exterior parking lots behind BT and the SUB. There is also access to the BT building through the IT building.



? Plans are in place to reopen the front entrance of the Student Services/Administration Building early next week.



June 2 Construction Update


? Phase 2 of the construction project was approved by the NTCC Board in May, giving the go-ahead for construction to continue


? The Humanities building, downstairs of UHS, and Phase 1 of the LRC are the first projects scheduled to begin (possibly as soon as next week)


? There is one lane allowing traffic to access the western side of campus (Shelby, Criminal Justice, etc.)


? The main plaza of the campus will redone as part of Phase 2, which will limit access to the core buildings
