The Northeast Texas Community College Student Government Association, in partnership with the Because I Care Foundation, is proud to host a patriotic-themed Be The Match Rally to raise awareness about the urgent need for bone marrow and blood stem cell donors.
Every year, thousands of patients with blood cancers and other life-threatening diseases depend on the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP℠) to find an unrelated donor. Seventy percent of patients in need of a transplant do not have a matched donor within their family, making the need for individuals to join the registry more critical than ever.
This event will serve as both an educational and community-building experience, providing NTCC students, faculty, and staff with an opportunity to learn more about the donation process, speak with representatives from the Because I Care Foundation, and consider joining the donor registry. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 are eligible to register.
We invite all members of the NTCC community to attend and stand together in the spirit of service and support. Your participation could truly make a life-saving difference.
