Overview of nursing and the role of the professional nurse as provider in patient-centered care patient safety advocate member of health care team and member of the profession. Content includes knowledge judgment skills and professional values regarding communication nutrition growth and development problem-solving process critical thinking and basic human needs within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach.
