NTCC extends its sincerest condolences to the family of Sid Greer, who passed away on December 26th, 2024.
Mr. Greer served on the NTCC Board of Trustees faithfully for 23 years. During that time he served as Board Secretary for 12 years.
Greer graduated from high school in Daingerfield, Texas. After retiring from a successful career in the oil and gas industry that took him all over the world, he and his wife, Eva, moved back to northeast Texas where they founded Greer Farms. Mr. Greer had a passion for sustainable agriculture and was very involved in the growth and expansion of NTCC’s agriculture program. The Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Agriculture Complex was built during his tenure on the Board and he was instrumental in the planning for that facility.
Mr. Greer retired from the NTCC Board in 2023 and moved to League City, Texas. No memorial services are currently planned. Click here to view Mr. Greer’s full obituary.
