Lettuce Get Your Garden Growing

The annual NTCC SPRING PLANT SALE will be hosted at the Mt. Pleasant Super 1 parking lot from 9 to 2 pm (or until sold out) on April 1. Various sizes and varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers will be available plus numerous other vegetables, herbs, shrubs, vines and trees ready to plant in your garden or patio pots. The farm crew will be available to answer your gardening questions and get your garden started off right! Additional sales to follow later at the NTCC Farm and we will be selling produce, eggs and more at the Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market beginning in June. more »



The Battle on the AG Field is Won in the Classroom

It always seems strange to me that we call our semester that starts in January here at NTCC the "spring" semester. Yet our weather has been in a constant state of flux between winter, fall and spring since December. In 2017 the persimmon seed prediction of heaps of snow has yet to come true and from our chickens to the insects to flowers and forage ~ nature is definitely struggling to determine what its normal course of action more »

Region VIII is teaming up with NTCC to bring Louann Sewell Waters to Lead this wonderful workshop. Pre-Registration is equired. Space is Limited!!!


Farm to Fork Cooking - Septermber 23rd
Pick your own vegetables and herbs from the Northeast Texas Community College garden and use them to prepare a delicioius meal from the menu prepared by Rene McCracken, Director of Agriculture at NTCC.


Women in the Outdoors - Gals day Out - Septermber 24th
Planned activities include Archery, Shotgunning, Blacksmithing, Rifle, Handgun, Dutch Oven Cooking, Several Make it-Take it Crafts, Fly Fishing, and Much, Much More!!! Bring your mom, sister, friend or co-worker, or all of them!


NTCC Gardens and Farmer’s Market Now Open for Business
Back by popular demand – our Graden & Farmers Market is now open weekdays only at the college farm/ag complex from 9 am till noon. Opening day kicks off this Wednesday, July 20th. Bring your family and purchase plants and fresh canned goods or pick your own! more info »
