Personal Training Certification

Course Description:
This course is a comprehensive, research-based program designed to provide students with all of the skills required to become a personal trainer. Participants will learn cutting-edge information about exercise science, flexibility, resistance training, nutrition, mind/body exercises and cardio workouts. Additionally, students will experience sports performance enhancement drills and program development techniques. To become a Certified Personal Trainer, you must receive a passing score on the written and practical exam following the course of study.

The program is online setting. Students will have access to comprehensive learning materials. Included materials include a 200-page PT Study Guide (PDF Format), hundreds of hands-on videos and access to a comprehensive NTCC fitness website with presentations, audio recordings, blogs, etc.

This course is an open enrollment course. Pre-registration is required, payment is due at the time of registration.

About Instructor: In addition to teaching, Seabourne is a nationally known fitness expert who has published numerous books on exercise science. He is an avid cyclist who has competed in ultra endurance races and held national titles in Taekwando. He was named a Piper Professor in 2014, which is one of the highest honors a college faculty member in the state of Texas can receive.
